The product is made by melting grade 0 or grade 1 titanium sponge according to ASTM F136, and is finished by melting, forging, rolling, annealing, as well as grinding and polishing to achieve the performance of medical titanium alloy. During processing, we test each bar by ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure that the internal organization of each bar is intact and not broken.

Production Process of Titanium Rod




Melting and casting: This is the most common method for producing titanium rods. Titanium sponge and alloying elements are melted in a vacuum or inert gas environment to form an ingot, which is then processed into rods.
Hot forging: Titanium ingots are heated to a specific temperature and then forged into rods using forging equipment. This method improves the density and mechanical properties of the titanium rods.
Hot rolling: Heated titanium ingots are rolled into rods through multiple passes in a rolling mill. Hot rolling is suitable for large-scale production and can produce titanium rods of various diameters.
Cold drawing: Titanium rods are drawn through dies at room temperature to achieve the desired diameter and surface finish. This method enhances the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the rods.
